"How long will it take?" is one of the first questions every client asks — and the honest answer is "it depends," but here's what it actually depends on, with realistic ranges.
Landing Pages: 3–7 Days
A single well-designed scrolling page, once content is ready, is genuinely quick — most of the time goes into getting the design direction right in the first day or two, then execution moves fast.
Full Multi-Page Sites: 2–4 Weeks
Home, About, Services, Work, Contact — each page needs its own design attention and content, plus the overall navigation and consistency needs testing across all of them. This is where most small businesses land.
What Actually Extends a Timeline
- Content not being ready. This is, by far, the most common delay — waiting on final text, photos, or a price list can stretch a 2-week build into 6 weeks, with none of that extra time being design or development work.
- Slow revision turnaround. If feedback rounds take a week each to come back, that adds directly to the calendar regardless of how fast the actual work is.
- Scope changes mid-build. Adding a new page or feature partway through resets part of the timeline — reasonable, but worth planning for rather than being surprised by.
What Speeds It Up
Ready content, fast feedback turnaround, and a single decision-maker approving each phase — the same three things that slow a build down, just reversed. A ready client can move a "2–4 week" full-site build closer to the lower end consistently.
Phase-by-phase approval isn't just about quality control — each sign-off is also a checkpoint that keeps the timeline honest, instead of discovering scope creep at the very end.
